Jim Brown

Owner & Founder

After several years in marketing for a leading shingle manufacturer, Jim Brown took a leap in the late 1990s and launched his own company. His goal was simple yet powerful: to create a workplace rooted in integrity and professionalism, where exceptional customer service would be the cornerstone of the company's identity.


When he's not leading Roof-Rite, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his passions for boating, flying, and skiing.

Jeff Chapel

General Manager

Born and raised in Southeast Michigan, Jeff is married and a proud father of two young children. His involvement in youth sports includes coaching his son's traveling baseball team. Jeff is currently pursuing his degree in Business Administration. When he's not working, Jeff spends time with his family and enjoys golfing, fishing, and skiing.

Pam Brown

Sales Consultant/Operations Manager

Pam Brown wears many hats at Roof-Rite — including being the wife of owner Jim Brown. She officially joined the team in 2008 and brings extensive knowledge of the roofing industry, having worked hands-on as a project manager. Today, Pam oversees the daily financial operations of the company while continuing to enjoy working closely with both customers and employees.


Pam is rarely without her loyal companion, Ruby — the Golden Doodle — who has accompanied her on countless customer presentations and is a beloved part of the Roof-Rite family.

Office Dog

Ruby travels everywhere with Pam. When they are not on the road together, she is at the office guarding the warehouse. She is definitely a team player. (We just wish we could teach her to answer the phones.)

Todd Miller

Project Manager

Todd Miller has been part of the construction industry since 1986 and takes great pride in his extensive knowledge of the trade. Before joining Roof-Rite, he served honorably in the U.S. Army for six years. Outside of work, Todd enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his passions for hunting and fishing.

Tom Trombley

Project Manager

Tom Trombley grew up in Commerce Township, Michigan, and later attended Northern Michigan University, where he earned his degree in Marketing. When he's not working, Tom loves spending time outdoors — whether it's waterskiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, fishing, or relaxing up north with family and friends.

Sue Klopf

Marketing & Office Manager

Sue Klopf serves as Roof-Rite's Marketing and Office Manager. She studied at Walsh College of Accounting and Business Administration as well as the University of South Florida. Sue is a proud mom of two grown sons and a daughter currently in her senior year of high school. In her free time, she loves to travel and enjoys relaxing on the lake with family, friends, and her dog, Bo.

Carla Charlesworth

Bookkeeper

Carla Charlesworth is our experienced bookkeeper, originally from both Colorado and Michigan, with a background in cosmetology and hospitality. She is a proud mom to her daughter Makenna and shares her home with her partner and their bulldogs, Darla and Chuck- her daily office sidekick who keeps us all smiling. When she's not doing our books, Carla enjoys traveling, boating, hiking, singing and organizing just about anything.
